In the center of Sarajevo’s Baščaršija neighborhood, set out on a unique culinary journey to explore the delectable tastes, scents, and customs of Bosnian cooking. Experience the colorful atmosphere of this historic district while sampling a range of genuine meals and beverages during our  local food and drink tour.

Your adventure begins as you meet your knowledgeable guide at the designated meeting point. From there, you’ll set off on a leisurely walk through the bustling streets, passing by centuries-old buildings and absorbing the unique blend of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian architecture.

As you explore the vibrant Baščaršija, you’ll have the opportunity to taste an array of traditional Bosnian dishes. Indulge in cevapi, a beloved Bosnian specialty consisting of grilled minced meat served with freshly baked somun bread, accompanied by a dollop of creamy kaymak cheese. Immerse yourself in the flavors of burek, a flaky pastry filled with either cheese, meat, or spinach, providing a delightful combination of textures and tastes.

No food tour in Sarajevo would be complete without trying Bosnian coffee, a ritual that dates back centuries. Savor the rich, aromatic brew, brewed slowly in a traditional copper džezva and served in a small, ornate cup. Learn about the significance of coffee in Bosnian culture and the art of drinking it leisurely while engaging in lively conversation.
