Begin your walking tour at this stunning architectural masterpiece, known as the Vijećnica. Admire the intricate details of this magnificent historical building.
We will walk along the charming Street of Food or Bravadžiluk Street, lined with quaint shops and cafes. You will feel the lively atmosphere of Sarajevo’s Old Town.
Explore Kazandžiluk or Coopersmith Street, a vibrant street filled with copper artisans. Marvel at their skillful craftsmanship and take home a unique souvenir.
Then, we will visit Baščaršija Square, the heart of Sarajevo’s Old Town. Admire the iconic Sebilj fountain. According to a local legend, visitors who drink water from this fountain will return to Sarajevo.
Step inside the Old Orthodox Church, on e of the oldest churches in Sarajevo. It was built in the time of the Ottoman empire. Discover the rich spiritual heritage of the Orthodox community.
We will continue your journey to the grand Gazi Husrev Bey’s Mosque. Gazi Husrev Bey was the most important governor of Ottoman Bosnia. Enjoy Ottoman architecture and learn about its historical significance.
Our third place of worship is Jewish Museum of Bosnia anf Herzegovina (which was the first synagogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and delve into the captivating history of Sarajevo’s Jewish community. Gain insights into their culture, traditions, and their enduring impact on the city.
Our final stop will be the Sacred heart Cathedral, or Sarajevo Cathedral. The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Sarajevo stands as a magnificent testament to both faith and architectural beauty. The cathedral has endured periods of conflict but remains a symbol of resilience and spiritual significance for the people of Sarajevo.
The tour is about 2 hours long
You should have clothes that cover your knees and shoulders for entering churches and clothes that cover your arms and legs as well as other parts of your body for entering mosque.
